Nothing Every Day

Our little Amity had a great time with all of her friends from Atlas this Halloween! Ami painted her pumpkin, from our garden, with purple food coloring mixed with cornstarch and water. The end product didn't last long, but the mess was quite enjoyable. Not being well experienced with craft projects like this just yet with an 8 month old, I set the little bowl of "paint" on her tray so she could dip her hand in it and such. Bad idea. Within about 20 seconds, the tray and it's contents were all over our dining room floor, leaving a dusty, purple look to the hardwood. While Amity finished painting the pumpkin from what was left on her high chair tray, I cleaned up the mess I should've seen forthcoming. We have a set date with Gram every year to go to the Oktoberfest here in Greeley. This year Amity was able to come too and see all the fun German happenings from dancing, to a bubble tower in the kids' area. It was a fall day full of fun!

Today we all woke up to beautiful winter wonderland outside our door. The forecast says there may be more in store for tonight too! Amity and I got all bundled up and went out to see what she thought of snow! It was a bit scary at first, and cold, but then she thought it was pretty fun!
