Time to Play Out in the Woods (aka our front yard)

Image
If you've ever been to our home, it's far from the woods  that you might think of, but to Amity, this seems to be such a place of wonder, excitement, adventure, and full of treasure - to me, just like in the woods. We went outside just the other day, complete with adorable red riding hooded poncho (because how can she not wear it without looking adorable, right?!) and found so much joy in discovering sticks, leaves, and feeling the crunch of winter underfoot with each new movement. Though we were only out for maybe 15-20 minutes, I couldn't help but snap a few shots of my sweet lil girl, being cute as ever, discovering the woods just outside. Her expression as she saw Daddy pull up and get out of his car.

You Are My Sunshine

Some days the light comes in through our front windows just gloriously and makes my daughter's beauty shine ever so brightly. She likes to giggle now when you kiss the palms of her hand or tickle her feet with your finger tips. Her favorite thing to sing is "La la la la" while her four fingers of her left hand are shoved in her mouth. She is perfect and I can't imagine life without her.

Sweet Moments with Amity

I love that Aaron plays the guitar and Amity loves to watch him in amazement. She even tried to strum some tunes herself this week as we sat her in front of the guitar while Aar was playing. Aaron has been gone a lot recently which has been hard on all of us. He's doing great things for his school and robotics club, but having him gone is hard: No way around that. This however, is one of my favorite memories the two of them share. The video quality is poor as it was taken on my iPhone, but the sentiment of "Tickle Bug"is loud and clear. :) ----------------------------------------------------------- Our dear friend T.J. recently opened up the best coffee shop in town. Best? Yes! Looking for great coffee? You have to stop in! It's called John Galt Coffee, Co. and it's housed in the Atlas Theater right off 16th St. and 7th Ave. Amity and I stop in for an outing every now and then and yesterday morning, Aaron had work off, so we all went to grab a cup...

Giggling, Smiling, and Growing Up So Quickly!

Image
We went and paid a visit to my Grandma, Amity's Great-Grandma Rusho, this week and had a nice lunch out in Windsor. When we got back, we played and Grandma showed Ami the little doll she had recently finished crocheting a dress for. As you can see in the video, Amity thought the doll, and Grandma were a hoot and she laughed for the very first time! We were so thankful we remembered to bring the camera and caught as much of the giggles as we could! Since then, she has laughed one more time, last night, after spending a weekend with Nana and Papi (my parents) down in Parker. Aaron and I were out, shooting a wedding on Saturday, and Nana and Papi took great care of her. It was a long day for us all on Sunday as Amity was up every couple of hours Saturday night, and Aaron and I only arrived back from the wedding to head to bed sometime just before 1am. She was wide awake and ready for the day by 7am, which neither of us technically were,...
