Nothing Every Day

Moving for us happened more suddenly than we were able to truly process. It seemed like Aaron went from interviewing, getting the job, starting the job right away, and then BANG - we found a house and now were needing to get into that house as soon as possible to save money on rent. The job, the house, the new life was about 1.5-2 hours away from our home in Greeley. For me, time to reflect, be sad, and realize the gravity of what was happening, didn't truly come until after we had been in our new home for over a week. Being busy kept my mind occupied, and my heart guarded because I had too many things to do, on my own, while Aaron stayed at my folks and Amity and I readied the house for the big transition. Friends during this time have struggled with me, delighted with me, prayed with me and been in constant communication with me (even when I wasn't quick to write back at times), knowing all of this was going to hit me like bricks once I let my guard down and let it. In each you had an opportunity to share your own: Dreams, Hopes, Fears, Secrets, and Prayers Lil one in the big  woods Amity had a blast going on a little hunt in the "woods" for the jars that we found! You can too! They will be hidden in the little spot of hidden cover just south of Glenmere near the kids' park. I think the Coonsies plan to get them and bring them home this next weekend so go have your own adventure!

Rachel is a dear friend of mine. Her husband, Andrew, was Aaron's best man, and in many ways still is. They have a bond that is really beautiful and I hope that their friendship continues to grow just like their beards do! :) Rachel and I have become close over the past few years, getting to know each other better and better each time we set aside time together. At first, we would get to chat while we all went camping or through dinner dates. Since Rach and I are both stay-at-home moms now, we get together as regularly as possible to let our daughters grow up with each other and give ourselves the chance to talk, listen, and strengthen our friendship. I am continually thankful for her and the love she shares with our family and my little girl. I can't imagine life without the three of them on a continual basis.
