Amity's First Snow

Image
Today we all woke up to beautiful winter wonderland outside our door. The forecast says there may be more in store for tonight too! Amity and I got all bundled up and went out to see what she thought of snow! It was a bit scary at first, and cold, but then she thought it was pretty fun!

T'was a Beautiful Day

We weren't able to manage the nice camera today with all the other things to remember to grab and take care of but here's a handful of shots I was able to get from one of the most special days we've spent as a family thus far. I am deeply and madly in love with Aaron and so thankful for how hard he works so that I can have the best job in the world right now: taking care of Amity and staying home. She is the light of our lives and our family is so wonderful to have from near and far to dedicate her with us.

Amity's Dedication

These are the vows we wrote for Amity's dedication today. It was beautiful, and we were so thankful to be a part of it, and so thankful that we have such a wonderful church community to belong to. We decided to be part of this dedication for a few reasons. We want our daughter Amity to be a connected to this vibrant community that has done so much for us, and we want to have the chance to speak over her the hopes, wishes, and prayers we have for her now, as we look forward to see all the possibilities of life before her.   Our prayers for you, daughter: That the full mystery and richness of Christ will be known to you That you will love deeply, and that you will always be surrounded by love That your faith will be vibrant, beautiful, full, and alive That you will forever hold on to the joy that you have already, and use it to bring peace and hope to those that need it most That you will see beauty everywhere, and be inspired by it That you seek truth, even wh

Sweet Moments with Amity

I love that Aaron plays the guitar and Amity loves to watch him in amazement. She even tried to strum some tunes herself this week as we sat her in front of the guitar while Aar was playing. Aaron has been gone a lot recently which has been hard on all of us. He's doing great things for his school and robotics club, but having him gone is hard: No way around that. This however, is one of my favorite memories the two of them share. The video quality is poor as it was taken on my iPhone, but the sentiment of "Tickle Bug"is loud and clear. :) ----------------------------------------------------------- Our dear friend T.J. recently opened up the best coffee shop in town. Best? Yes! Looking for great coffee? You have to stop in! It's called John Galt Coffee, Co. and it's housed in the Atlas Theater right off 16th St. and 7th Ave. Amity and I stop in for an outing every now and then and yesterday morning, Aaron had work off, so we all went to grab a cup

Picnic at the Park

Image
Amity and I decided (because she clearly voices her opinions to me lately - LOL) that we should do something special to celebrate 10.11.12. It's a rare date that is just fun to look at and so I thought it'd be fun to get bundled and get outside with the pup to have lunch at our favorite park: Glenmere. It was a beautiful day for a stroll and Amity seemed quite fond of the whole experience. Love my little Peanut so much!
