Giggling, Smiling, and Growing Up So Quickly!

We went and paid a visit to my Grandma, Amity's Great-Grandma Rusho, this week and had a nice lunch out in Windsor. When we got back, we played and Grandma showed Ami the little doll she had recently finished crocheting a dress for. As you can see in the video, Amity thought the doll, and Grandma were a hoot and she laughed for the very first time! We were so thankful we remembered to bring the camera and caught as much of the giggles as we could!

Since then, she has laughed one more time, last night, after spending a weekend with Nana and Papi (my parents) down in Parker. Aaron and I were out, shooting a wedding on Saturday, and Nana and Papi took great care of her. It was a long day for us all on Sunday as Amity was up every couple of hours Saturday night, and Aaron and I only arrived back from the wedding to head to bed sometime just before 1am. She was wide awake and ready for the day by 7am, which neither of us technically were, but we did our parently duties and woke with coffee promised at the top of the stairs. We followed Mom and Dad over to my brother, Mike, and his girlfriend, Kara's, new apartment and got to visit with him for a little bit before making the long trek back to Greeley. It was uplifting and sweet to have a moment with Ami and have her giggle for us last night. Though is was really hard for both of us being away from her for most of the day on Saturday, we realized she still loves us and understands and still saves special moments for us.

Amity and I also had a great time this past week going swimming for her first time. Her good friends Stella and Pierson, as well as their mommies, Jolene and Emily, all went out and had a fantastic time watching the kiddos at the Family Fun Plex. Since then, we've decided to make this a regular thing and plan to go as often as once a week until school starts up and maybe continue to go even after as well. Amity was enamored with watching all of the people, mainly the other kids, and got quite fussy when I told her we had to be going...

Summer days with Amity are so much fun! I love spending so much time with her and friends. We also have spent some good time with her friend Jameson and his momma, Becky! It's so much fun having all these cute babies so close together!

Can summer just continue forever? :)
