a friday ritual. a single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. a simple, special, extraordinary moment. a moment i want to pause, savor, and remember.
We have fantastic friends. Tim Coons, a local, amazing, and inspirational song-writer and artist hosted a project recently for his latest album. In essence, he asked a bunch of his artsy friends to take pictures that would go along with a song he posted from the album, each week in July, that he might be able to use for album art after the album is released. It was a huge hit. I watched as literally dozens of images flooding my instagram feed all hashtagged with Potomacproject, the name of his new album. Here's a great article written on Tim and his sweet wifey that was in the Tribune just a week or so ago now. http://www.greeleytribune.com/news/1605296-113/tim-betony-greeley-music The really exciting thing, which as soon I found out, brought me to tears, is that one of my images, and further, an image I took of Amity made it into the top 8 of his favorites and will be featured in the first 100 special cased albums. Here's the sweet picture of her you will be happy t...
I think Kitchen Wednesdays might ring more true and so that's the new title for these sorts of days. See the new look? Though my daughter has strangely light brown hair, and very little of it, I did manage to get her first ponytail in the record books since she has the cutest little mohawk! Here's a couple shots of my lil helper sitting up for a bit all by herself! Today we decided to try out a Pinterest recipe for Stuffed Bell Peppers! Stuffed Bell Peppers Ingredients: 1 serving: 257 calories 3 red bell peppers (cut in half, seeds taken out) 3 cloves garlic (minced) 1 medium onion chopped up 16 oz. can of salsa (we used Betony's homemade salsa that we canned last week) 16 oz. ground turkey 1 c. colby cheese 1.5 c. ...
I realize I haven't been good about documenting sweet Verity's Milestone pics on the blog. I blame crazy mom-life. But here's the latest since I last documented her at 7 months old... 8 Months... She looooves baby food - especially apple, pumpkin, granola and MumMums! She is scooting herself everywhere she wants to be but hasn’t quite mastered crawling just yet. If her sensory box is nearby she has mastered pulling herself up against it and onto her knees! She says “Dadda,” “Lala,” and “Nana,” on repeat and sorts the cutest stinky face with a scrunch nose too! A letter to Verity on her 9 month celebration: You sprouted out two adorable and insanely sharp teeth since last month’s update. Our nursing journey came to an end and the last time it happened is such a sweet and heartwarming memory for me. Thank you baby girl. You looooove making “stinky face,” eating finger foods, crawling around like an army champ, running in your walker into all th...
