Halloween 2012

Our little Amity had a great time with all of her friends from Atlas this Halloween!

Ami painted her pumpkin, from our garden, with purple food coloring mixed with cornstarch and water. The end product didn't last long, but the mess was quite enjoyable.

Not being well experienced with craft projects like this just yet with an 8 month old, I set the little bowl of "paint" on her tray so she could dip her hand in it and such. Bad idea. Within about 20 seconds, the tray and it's contents were all over our dining room floor, leaving a dusty, purple look to the hardwood. While Amity finished painting the pumpkin from what was left on her high chair tray, I cleaned up the mess I should've seen forthcoming.

Every year, Kelly and Jeff Cook organize a fun trip around Glenmere neighborhood for the kids of Atlas to trick-or-treat together.

The Kids of Atlas

We figured this would be a great time for Amity and a fun way for her to spend her first Halloween. We were right. She had a blast watching all of the other kids and seeing their fun costumes. We made it about 45 minutes or so before she was tired and ready for bed. It was such a fun night with great memories attached.
